The Pastor Post is a regular update from Pastor Matt with a brief meditation as well as information on upcoming events in the life of Cornerstone Church.
July 17, 2014
Dear Church Family,
I want to express again the Proctor’s gratitude for the four week sabbatical. The four weeks gave us fresh perspective on the priorities God has for us. We’re deeply grateful to be back serving, and we are very excited to worship with everyone this Sunday. It really is a beautiful thing to be able to worship with God’s people.
Things to note…
1) Construction progress: Our work teams are back up and running on Thursday nights (5-9PM) and Saturday mornings (8AM-12PM). Come for an hour or the whole block of time. We’ll probably be back there up to Labor Day to finish all the framing before the dry walling can be done by professionals. See Greg Dryden’s email for different ways you can help: https://cornerstone-marion.org/wordpress/2014/07/16/help-construct-our-sanctuary/
2) The elders are praying and developing our 2014-2015 ministry theme and priorities. We hope to unveil where we think the LORD is leading sometime in mid-late August.
3) There will be a membership class immediately following the worship service this Sunday, July 20. If you’ve been attending Cornerstone Church approximately 5-6 months and want more information about what it means to be a partner in ministry, stick around after church. A lunch will be provided.
It’s good to be back.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Matt
