Church Family,

I’ve observed in my 8 years of service here that the months of August and September are two significant and often heavy months for the life of the church. Leaders are recruited and trained. Ministries are planned and (re)launched. There are many meetings called, phone calls made, and ideas exchanged. Could I ask you to be in prayer for the body of Christ at this time, especially for your elders, deacons, ministry directors and leaders? If you are hoping to serve in a ministry this fall, this is a great time to fill out a volunteer application (Application for C1 Volunteer)!

Now some upcoming dates and changes for you to know:

This Sunday July 29 – 

9:25AM Worship Service

No Sunday School Classes (note change)

11:30/45AM Picnic and Baptism Service at John and Lesia Stuelke’s home (108 S. Hillcrest Cir, in Center Point, IA)

Next Sunday August 5 – 

   9:25AM Worship Service

   11AM – “All Hands on Deck” Worship Ministry meeting – All volunteers and leaders who serve on the Worship Team will meet (with a lunch to follow)

   11AM – Sunday School (Kids, Student and Adult Sunday School will meet for non-worship ministry personnel. (note change)

Sunday August 12 – 

   9:25AM Worship Service

11AM – No Sunday School (Please,. rest Sunday School teachers for one more week 🙂

Sunday August 19 – 

   9:25AM Worship Service

   11AM – No Sunday School, but…

    11AM – Sunday School Teacher and Helper Training Meeting (please pray for the personnel who serve in this area)

Sunday August 26 – 

   9:25AM Worship Service

11AM – Sunday School relaunches for the 2018-2019 Ministry Year!!
