Dear Friends,
The Apostle Paul ties Christian baptism to our Lord Jesus in Romans 6. Just as Christ died, we die in our baptism. So too, as Jesus resurrected to new life, we come out of the waters of baptism with new life. God speaks amazing promises over us through baptism. On this side of heaven, we feel the weight of suffering, sin and death. Soon, however, those in Christ will see all trials as light and momentary preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comprehension (2 Cor. 4:17). And all this, secured by our Messiah’s death and resurrection. He is risen; he is risen indeed.
