Dear Church Family,

 

I’m back!! I wanted to begin with a huge Thank You for the sabbatical time away from the daily rigors of ministry. Patsy and I are very refreshed from our time with family. I also gained a lot from my visits with fellow ministers in looking ahead to the next five years. I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned with you.

 

Here are some things on our church calendar in the next few weeks that you will want to be aware of. I’ll be brief, just the basics:

 

1. My Mom’s, Joyce Hoobler, funeral service is this Saturday at 11:00am at Cornerstone. Visitation precedes this 9:00 to 11:00. We would love for you to join us as we celebrate our God who blessed mom’s life.

 

2. Risen Hope is holding a community Pool Party on Saturday, August 2, in Anamosa 11:00am to 1:00pm. If you are able to attend and support them, that would be great.

 

3. A full report from the Berlin Germany Mission Team will be offered at 11:00am on Sunday, August 3, in the Fellowship Hall. If you are able, bring a snack to share. There will be some provided.

 

4. Worship Ministry Team Meeting on Sunday, August 10, at 11:00am in the Fellowship Hall. All involved in the ministry as well as those looking for information are asked to attend.

 

5. A Fall Ministry Launch Prayer Meeting will be offered on Wednesday, August 13, at 7:00pm. Let’s ask God to bless the ministries of Cornerstone Church as we share His good news.

 

There is a lot going on as we move toward the fall months. Come and join us and get in on the fun.
